The 1975 Concert

When I was updating my blog profile I came to the very sad realisation that I have yet to post about The 1975 concert I went to! Obviously I had to fix this because it was awesome and everyone has to know about it.

I went to see The 1975 in St Paul, Minnesota, at the Myth. It was a bit of a road trip to get there but we made a fun little girl's weekend road trip out of it so it wasn't so bad. And it meant I got to hit up Topshop which is now in Nordstrom's in the Mall of America (just an FYI).

It was absolutely freezing outside before the concert and we had to wait forever to get in because they were only letting the VIP people in first and it was running late so basically I froze, even though I was wearing jeans. People were wearing short skirts and stuff and at first I was regretting not taking the opportunity to crack out my new skirt but I quickly realised I made the right decision while we stood waiting for half an hour. In Minneapolis. In November. IT WAS SO COLD.

Once we got in, my friend and I kind of scouted out the place and walked around, and we really tried to find a place to stand that wasn't in the pit but it was just too crowded so we really didn't have another option. She took a bit of convincing but eventually we got in and it wasn't too bad. We made friends with a tall girl and her friend who was out of her mind turnt and they took us under their wing and helped us get to the front, but it was basically your typical pit, pushing and shoving and pressed up against strangers, people who passed out getting passed overhead to the security. It really wasn't as bad as it sounds.

The music was awesome. I didn't know either of the opening bands but it was fine, it was still a good time and everyone was just kind of chilling and hanging out and whatever. Then it went absolutely crazy when the 1975 came out but I somehow managed to stay on my feet and the rest of the concert was just spectacular. It honestly was just a blur of awesomeness and was hands down one of the best concerts I've been to. By the end of the concert my friend and I were right at the front of the stage which was very unexpected?? I'm not the type of person who would push for that, ya know? It just kind of happened and we ended up there and it was fantastic. The 1975 are fantastic in every way. 10/10 would recommend and 100% will be attending another one of their concerts asap.

HERE ARE SOME VERY NICE PICTURES I GOT:
